Scholarships
There are two types of RRYSA Scholarships, Academic and Hardship. If awarded a Full Academic or Hardship Scholarship then 100% of the program fee will be covered. The Partial Academic or Hardship Scholarship covers 50% (half) of the program fee, and the parent will be responsible for paying the remaining balance. The balance must be paid in full prior to being awarded the Partial Scholarship.
We do currently have Scholarship funds available for Basketball!
The requirements to apply for each are below:
Academic Scholarshi

(Full & Partial)
- The perfect candidate for the academic scholarship is a model student. They must have all As on their current report card and no bad marks in conduct (no Ns or Us). The student must showcase their intellect by writing a 3-paragraph essay on why they feel they deserve the RRYSA scholarship the most. Each paragraph must include 5-8 complete sentences each. Student must provide one letter of recommendation from someone other than their parent. Lastly, student's parent must commit to volunteering for one full game day (Yes, the entire day). Supporting documents include: Report card, Essay, Letter of Recommendation, Statement from Parent vowing to commit to volunteering for an entire game day.
Hardship Scholarshi

(Full & Partial)
- To apply for a hardship scholarship, the player's family must be experiencing some sort of hardship. The player must have no bad marks in conduct (no Ns or Us). The player must showcase their interest in playing basketball by writing a 3-paragraph essay on why they want to play and how playing for RRYSA will affect them in a positive way. Each paragraph must include 5-8 complete sentences each. Student must provide one letter of recommendation from someone other than their parent. Lastly, student's parent must commit to volunteering for one full game day (Yes, the entire day). Supporting documents include: Report card, Essay, Letter of Recommendation, Statement from Parent vowing to commit to volunteering for an entire game day, along with an explanation of hardship.
